The 2023 AIMEX Australia Asia-Pacific International Engineering and Mining Exhibition, hosted by the UK Reed Exhibitions Group, started in 1970 and is currently the largest mining machinery and equipment exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region, and one of the four largest mining machinery exhibitions in the world. The biennial exhibition has strong customer orientation, attracting professional exhibitors and purchasers from around the world who are dedicated to participating in the development of Australia's engineering and mining resources and the mining machinery equipment market.

Since the signing of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement in 2015, there has been a good trade cooperation between China and Australia, with China being Australia's largest trading partner.
